‘The Winds of Winter’ Release Date, News & Update: Did George RR Martin Confirm Another Delay?

“The Winds of Winter” is undeniably among the much-anticipated novels to be released this year, which explains why several fans got disappointed when the launching got delayed over and over again. However, followers of the “A Song of Fire and Ice” book series are advised to extend their patience as “TWOT” release was pushed further.

Recent reports suggest that George RR Martin would not be able to release “The Winds of Winter” within this year as he focuses more on other projects. In fact, the veteran writer haa recently launched a foundation dedicated to bring more TV and movie productions in Santa Fe, New Mexico on March 16, 2017.

“The Winds of Winter” author George RR Martin, as per reports, will be working in a 30,000-square-foot building with some of the production companies in Hollywood and the best filmmakers in his hometown. The StageCoach Foundation is also expected to bring in positive effects in New Mexico’s economy.

However, George RR Martin expressed his disappointment and even launched an online war with journalists who reported the launching of the Stage Foundation, Daily nTelegraph reported. “I am no fan of what passes for journalism on the internet but I have to admit I’ve been taken aback by the sheer amount of bullshit that’s been proliferating all over the web about our Stagecoach Foundation initiative … some of it posted on what I would have previously regarded as reputable news outlets with familiar names, but almost all of it off-base and, well … wrong,” “The Winds of Winter” author said.

Speculations suggest that Stagecoach Foundation could possibly become another reason for George RR Martin to delay the release of “The Winds of Winter” novel. The New Mexican writer even revealed that he “gets tired quickly more than he used to,” hinting fans that another delay could happen.

“So much to do. And the days go by so quickly. I love my work, all my work, all my projects, all my children, but sometimes it seems as if the harder I work, the further behind I get,” George RR Martin stated. “Maybe things will calm down soon. But I am not holding my breath,” “The Winds of Winter” author added on.
