Netflix Series 2016: ‘The OA’ Season 1 Finally Premieres! Air Date, Spoilers, Characters, Plot, Trailer, News & Update!

Netflix made sure that its subscribers will have something to binge-watch this upcoming Holiday season. As a matter of fact, the popular streaming channel has added more shows on its already long list of quality and must-watch series such as “The Crown,” “Gilmore Girls,” “True Memoirs of an International Assassin” and “The OA” Season 1.

Among the newest additions is “The OA” Season 1, which is a Netflix original. The newly-launched series is about a young girl named Prairie Johnson (Brit Marling), who was returns to the place where she was born and raised with her revived sense of sight. But, will her return answer questions? Or will it only bring danger to the people around her?

“Prairie Johnson (Brit Marling), who comes home to the community she grew up in with her sight restored,” IMDb has described of “The OA” Season 1 series. “Some hail her a miracle, others a dangerous mystery, but Prairie won’t talk about her seven years missing with the FBI or her parents.”

“The OA” Season 1 is directed by Zal Batmanglij. Aside from Brit Marling, other personalities to expect in the new Netflix series include Will Brill, Emory Cohen, Patrick Gibson, Brendan Meyer, Brandon Perea, Scott Wilson, Robert Eli, Marcus Choi, Chloe Levine, Nikolai Nikolaeff, Paz Vega, Ellewillow Campagna, Juan Castano, Melanie Ehrlich, Danny Guzman, Ryan Homchick, Martha Millan, Victor Slezak, Robbie Tucker, Genevieve Adams and Olivia Boreham-Wing among others.
