3 Perks of Being Single

I just celebrated my birthday last week and among the countless wishes I got has something to do with my love life. Gosh!

Truth be told, I feel offended when people talk about my singleness and whenever they question my life decisions. And, of course, staying single is my choice. JSYK.

Most people surrounding me often make me feel like having someone on your side is a requirement to make life so much happier than it already is. Unfortunately, I enjoy being single including its benefits.

If you don’t think that being single is cool, well, consider these facts and advantages about having no partner.

1. Being single allows you to work on yourself. Believe it or not, this actually works! Being single may not fans for some but it will give you time to discover yourself more.

Being single has even taught me some of the most remarkable lessons in life. Aside from that, I was able to become mature and more independent that I do not depend my happiness to other people.

2. Being single allows you to gain more friends. We cannot deny the fact that being committed to someone could also limit our worlds as we can only move within our circles.

Yes, it is really hard to find time for your friends when you are in a relationship. No free time and lesser personal freedom. It’s really hard to hangout with people from different walks ofnlife when you have a significant other to consider.

3. Being single can help you avoid the wrong person. At the moment, thousands of relationships have already ended and most of these were actually destined to last shorter than forever.

Irreconcilable differences is among the main reasons why most relationship come to an end. So, if you are not ready and if you do not know yourself all too well, do not engage into a relationship yet, or else, you’ll end up crying.

There is nothing wrong about being or choosing to be single so long as you are happy with it. Trust me, committing into someone when you aren’t ready will only get you into trouble.

Again, it’s better to be single than to be with someone who does not even worthy of your time, efforts and love. Toodles!
